Nokia unveils 5230 Cheap Smartphones
Nokia continues to push cheap touch screen smartphone, the Nokia 5230. This nokia touch phone aimed for the people who are physically active and use the phone as a primary instrument for music, photos, video and online social networks like Facebook and MySpace. Nokia 5230 offers A-GPS navigation and the latest version of Ovi Maps with aerial images, 3D landmarks for over 200 cities.
The Nokia 5230 features a 3.2 inch touch screen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, a 2-megapixel camera that takes video at 30 frames per second, 70 MB of internal memory, which can hold through a micro SD slot. Operating on Symbian OS v9.4, the Nokia 5230 also has an FM radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, an HSDPA network and a 1320 mAh Li-ion battery offer up to 33 hours audio playback.
For a mighty music experience, any headphones with a 3.5mm AV connector can be used. In addition, the Nokia 5230 features a media bar with quick access to your favorite media and applications such as music, photos, YouTube or Ovi Share.
Nokia 5230 will come with either a black or white front cover and silver, dark silver, red, blue, pink or yellow for the back cover. The phone is expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2009 for €149 or around $210 before subsidies and taxes.
