Logitec will release an USB portable external DVD-ROM drive aimed for netbook users, known as the LDV-P8U2L. Beside capable to read 8x DVD player and 24x CD player, the Logitec LDV-P8U2L can be used as a boot drive.

This portable external DVD-ROM drive no requires an external AC power adapter, but just only need 1 USB 2.0 port to run it on PC or Mac.

Logitech LDV-P8U2L will be available in Red, Black and Silver. The price is about $56 and will ship in early October 2009.
